SUN Mobility & Bluwheelz Launch Retrofit Kits mobility outlook

SUN Mobility has partnered with Bluwheelz to launch retrofit kits designed specifically for Tata ACE vehicles. This innovative initiative allows fleet operators to convert their existing internal combustion engine (ICE) or fixed battery Tata ACE vehicles into swappable electric vehicles (EVs) equipped with SUN Mobility's advanced battery swapping technology. The key advantage of this conversion is the substantial cost savings it offers. Those transitioning from diesel vehicles stand to save about 40% per month.

In addition to cost savings, the retrofitted electric Tata ACE vehicles promise extended vehicle life, reduced operational costs, and increased uptime. Notably, these electric vehicles are permitted to operate during no-entry hours in the Delhi area, which further enhances productivity for fleet operators.

This retrofit solution also aligns with the Indian government's push towards electrification of the transportation sector. It enables businesses to comply with new regulations mandating the transition to electric vehicles without the need for substantial investment in new fleets. By retrofitting their existing vehicles, companies can maintain their current operations while adopting more sustainable and profitable practices.

'We are thrilled to introduce our retrofit kits for Tata ACE vehicles in partnership with Bluwheelz,' stated Anant Badjatya, CEO of SUN Mobility. 'This initiative marks a significant step in our mission to make electric mobility accessible, affordable, and sustainable for businesses of all sizes. We will begin this rollout in the NCR region, followed by other states.'
