SpiceJet To Expand Fleet By Ten Aircraft

The low-cost carrier will be inducting ten leased B737 aircraft, including five 737 Max aircraft, between September-October 2023.

Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) SpiceJet will induct additional jetliners with an eye on growing passenger demand and enhancing its capacity for the peak winter season.

The LCC will induct ten Boeing 737 aircraft starting from September 2023 and is also working on getting the aircraft back into the air, which is currently grounded,

Ajay Singh, CMD, SpiceJet, said there has been a significant surge in passenger demand, and the airline was hopeful that this increased demand would continue in the latter part of the year as well. 

Singh said SpiceJet will be inducting ten leased B737 aircraft, including five 737 Max aircraft, between September-October 2023.

SpiceJet operates a fleet of Boeing 737 jetliners and De Havilland Canada Q-400 regional transport aircraft.
