Minda Corporation, the flagship company of diversified auto component manufacturer Spark Minda Group, has signed a strategic partnership with Israel-based Ride Vision for a unique Collision Avoidance Technology for two-wheelers in India.

Ride Vision is a leading advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) company that focuses on rider assistance systems, and has brought in its range of Artificial Intelligence-enabled Collision Avoidance Technology (CAT™) products for the Indian two-wheeler market. The company is harnessing the strength of AI and image-recognition technology to provide riders with a much broader awareness of their surroundings, preventing collisions, and enabling bikers to ride with full confidence that they are safe, claimed a company release.

Ride Vision’s CAT has been uniquely built to address multiple road challenges, specifically for two- and three-wheelers. Couple with Spark Minda’s nation-wide reach and strong market share, the two companies envisions making the product successful in the market, both as integrated into new motorbikes and in the aftermarket.

Expressing his happiness in partnering with Ride Vision, Ashok Minda, Chairman and GCEO, Minda Corporation said the technology introduction will make a difference to the life of two-wheeler riders and will help in achieving the objective of zero road fatality set by the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways by 2030. “Going forward, we will focus on introducing new products, technologies and system solutions in electronics, light weighting, active safety and electric mobility space organically and inorganically,” he said.

Uri Lavi, CEO & Co-founder of Ride Vision said, “Motorbike riders in India will be safer on roads as through this partnership with Spark Minda, we will introduce the first localised collision avoidance product that fits the needs and budget of the Indian market.”
