Sona BLW Precision Forgings has showcased the Electronic Locking Differential (ELD), In-Cabin Sensors (ACAM) and its Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) at the 16th Auto-Expo Components Show.
Developed by Novelic, which Sona Comstar recently acquired, the ACAM sensors are based on mmWave radar technology, which detects child presence and seat occupancy without invading privacy to meet increasingly stringent safety regulations.
Meanwhile, the SRM motor is based on the patented best-in-class Magnet-less technology and has been jointly developed with Enedym.
Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, Sona Comstar, noted that the automotive components industry is going through an evolution with the emergence of electric, connected and autonomous vehicles.

Besides these components, high-efficiency High Voltage Motors designed for the Indian bus and HCV market, a Laser-welded Differential, a final drive assembly with multiple design configurations, Epicyclic Hub Reduction Drive and GaN Inverter are also on display at the Sona Comstar pavilion.
