Sokudo Electric India has announced its plan to establish 100 flagship stores across India by the end of the financial year 2024-25. This expansion aims to enhance the company's market presence and provide eco-conscious consumers with greater access to affordable electric scooters.
Each store will occupy a minimum area of 1,500 sq ft, with some locations exceeding 2,000 sq ft. These flagship stores will serve as exclusive showrooms for Sokudo Electric products, with the openings managed by distributor Anubhuti Electric.
Prashant Vashishtha, Chairman and Managing Director of Sokudo Electric India, stated 'We are currently in the opening phase of our flagship stores and aim to meet the high EV demand in key locations across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. I am positive that our flagship stores will mark a milestone in our EV journey and allow us to refine our customer experience.”
The flagship stores will showcase Sokudo Electric’s advanced scooters and components, including wiring, harnesses, and controllers. Additionally, the stores will feature riding accessories such as the company's newly launched ISI-certified helmets, offering customers a comprehensive brand experience.
The expansion is expected to significantly contribute to Sokudo Electric's sales, with the company anticipating that the new flagship stores will account for around 60% of its sales by the end of 2024. In support of this expansion, Sokudo Electric has recently established a 20,000 sq. ft. motor and controller plant to bolster its R&D activities and develop scooters with zero quality defects.
