Skoda is working on a heavy update for its entire model range, which is expected to begin with the introduction of the new-gen Kodiaq later this year. This will be followed by a very crucial model for the brand, which will be a new sub-four-metre SUV.
After releasing the initial teaser back in March, Skoda has now given us another peek at this upcoming rival to the likes of the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
The teaser image reveals a few design elements of the new SUV from Skoda, including some that are reminiscent of the Kushaq mid-size SUV such as the inverted L-shaped LED taillight. The roof rails are likely to get a black finish, while the rear bumper will be an all-new unit with black cladding on the lower end. The tailgate will also boast bold ‘Skoda’ lettering.
While details regarding the interiors of the cars are kept under wraps at the moment, the 2025 Skoda sub-four-metre SUV is likely to be propelled only by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic units. This model will be followed by the mid-life update to the Kushaq and the Slavia, both of which could get an ADAS suite alongside a facelift.
