While the announcement of the sub-four SUV may have stolen the show at yesterday’s Skoda event, a concept car that was on display outside the venue showcased several future upgrades for both the Slavia sedan and the Kushaq SUV.
Exterior upgrades
On the outside, the Kushaq Explorer was sporting a new matte green paint scheme, blacked-out Skoda badges and blacked-out alloy wheels. These are expected to make their way to both cars in the form of accessories throughout the next FY.
Interior upgrades
Skoda has used most of its upgrade budget by adding features like a 360-degree camera, head-up display and rear sun blinds. These are expected to be added to the feature list of the top-spec Style variants.
Kushaq Explorer
In addition to the above upgrades, the Kushaq for this Explorer Edition was also sporting orange accents and all-terrain tyres. It is powered by the 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine producing 148bhp/250Nm and can be had with either a seven-speed DSG or a six-speed MT.
