Skanda Aerospace Technology (SAT) has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art gear manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, incorporating world-class gear grinding machines, enabling it to make gears and gearboxes for domestic aircraft, helicopters and the global commercial aviation market.
SAT, a collaboration between Hyderabad-based Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools and US-based Rave Gears LLC, presently has a strength of 100 employees, with plans to grow to 1,000 by 2026.
Rave Gears has committed to providing about INR 72 crore of annual orders to SAT every year, which has invested INR 75 crore in Phase 1 of the project and plans to invest an additional INR 150 crore in the next 2-3 years.
With AS 9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, SAT specialises in high-precision CNC and complex aerospace gear manufacturing, focusing primarily on the global aerospace engine and gear markets.
