The Indian e2W start-up, Simple Energy, on Tuesday unveiled an upgraded motor for its flagship scooter, Simple One.
An upgrade to the existing motor, the new powerplant enhances the scooter's performance to 72Nm of torque while offering better efficiency and thermal management. In addition, this allows the scooter to house a large 4.8 kWh battery pack, providing 200+ km of range, a release from the company said.
Furthermore, the higher level of vertical integration allows the electric scooter to attain an efficiency of 96%, the release added.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, said this breakthrough upgrades efficiency and performance as the motor is the key to a perfect EV. Fifty iterations later, this has only made the scooter even better. 'We are certain that the end consumer will be thrilled to experience it,' he added.
