Simple Energy has unveiled ambitious expansion plans for 2025 aiming to open 150 new stores and 200 service centres across India. This move is set to bolster its footprint in the rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market and enhance its service infrastructure to meet rising consumer demand.
Since its commercial launch in May 2023, Simple Energy has established a presence in five southern states with 10 operational stores and over 1,500 deliveries of its flagship model, the Simple One. Recognising the growing demand for EVs, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the company plans to extend its reach to 23 states, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Delhi. This expansion aligns with its strategy to solidify its position as a leading electric two-wheeler brand in India.
The two-wheeler EV market in India witnessed a 33% rise in retail sales in 2024, reaching 1.14 million units. Simple Energy has capitalised on this momentum, recording an eightfold increase in revenue in the last quarter of 2024, reaching INR 8.5 crore. The company is now targeting a revenue of INR 80 crore for FY 2025, reflecting its growth trajectory.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, stated “This is an exciting milestone for us as we prepare to open 150 stores and 200 service centres. The overwhelming response to the Simple One has reinforced our belief in the potential of electric two-wheelers. This expansion ensures that customers nationwide have access to cutting-edge solutions and a reliable service network, enhancing their ownership experience and accelerating the shift to sustainable mobility.”
