SIAM, in collaboration with Gyan Mandir Public School, Naraina Vihar, organized the ninth Inter-School Competition on 'Road Safety' as part of its Safe Journey initiative.
Aimed at promoting secure mobility from the grassroots level, the competition engaged around 1000 students from 38 schools in various activities focused on the theme of SDG goal 3.6 – reducing road injuries and deaths.
The programme included diverse competitions such as 'E-Poster making,' 'Jingle,' 'Logo Designing,' 'Presentation on road safety,' 'Brochure Designing,' 'Movie Making,' 'Photography,' aligning with the objective of raising awareness about road safety.
Expert judges ensured impartial evaluation, emphasizing SIAM's commitment to instilling a sense of responsibility and safety among the younger generation.
Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director, SIAM, emphasised the importance of early education on road safety, stating, “Empowering young minds with the essence of road safety from an early age is paramount. Our enduring partnership with Delhi Traffic Police and Gyan Mandir Public School has been instrumental in advancing the cause of road safety.”
The overwhelming enthusiasm displayed by students reflects SIAM's ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of safety and responsibility on Indian roads. The annual inter-school competition continues to be a cornerstone of SIAM's efforts to engage stakeholders and promote safe mobility across the nation.
