Showcasing The Aston Martin V8 Vantage In India mobility outlook

Aston Martin New Delhi has officially displayed the all-new V8 Vantage to the regional media, priced at INR 3.99 crore (ex-showroom), with the option for further personalisation. It was launched in April 2024 earlier, and the showcase comes just in line as Lamborghini prepares the Temerario V8 Hybrid for the Indian market. The Vantage represents a blend of performance, luxury, and heritage, making a bold statement following in the footsteps of the DB12 Coupe and Volante. Vantage is a V8 and does not choose the hybrid powertrain to offer a purists dream of a more evocative output, but will face stiff competition from the Ferrari Roma, McLaren GT, Maserati MC20 and even the Porsche 911 series, yes there are a lot of choices.

At the heart of the new Aston Martin Vantage is a heavily reworked 4.0-litre Twin-Turbo V8 engine. This hand-built power unit delivers 656 bhp of power and 800 Nm of torque. Achieving this boost in performance involved enhancements such as optimised cam profiles, improved compression ratios, and larger turbochargers. Paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the Vantage accelerates from 0 to 96 kmph in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 325 kmph. The inclusion of a new Launch Control system further refines the car’s performance, while an advanced cooling system ensures engine stability under intense conditions.

The Vantage’s handling is enhanced by an evolved bonded aluminium structure, providing a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. Additional underbody stiffening and intelligent adaptive dampers contribute to precise handling and exceptional driver feedback. The Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system offers direct, tactile responses, while Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres and lightweight 21-inch forged alloy wheels ensure superior grip and control. Standard cast-iron brakes can be upgraded to Carbon Ceramic Brakes, offering greater stopping power and reduced unsprung mass.

The new Vantage flaunts a bold exterior design with an aggressive front grille, aerodynamic lines, and a dynamic silhouette. The interior combines luxury with advanced technology, featuring premium materials, a state-of-the-art infotainment system, and modern driver-assistance features. These include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a comprehensive airbag system, ensuring a blend of performance and safety that is essential in today’s automotive landscape.

The exterior of the new Vantage features a muscular stance with a 30mm wider body, a redesigned front end with a 38% larger grille for improved cooling, and new Matrix LED headlamps. The rear design is equally striking, with a wider bumper and larger quad exhausts. Inside, the Vantage combines luxury with cutting-edge technology, offering sleek lines, hand-stitched Bridge of Weir hides, and advanced infotainment systems. Optional livery designs in 21 colours further enhance its sporty appearance, reflecting the car’s blend of performance and style.
