SHEMA Electric Unveils Two New e2Ws To Expand Portfolio To Six Products

Amid the slew of new electric vehicles showcased and launched at the recently concluded EV India Expo 2021 was Odisha-based EV manufacturing start-up, SHEMA Electric as well. The company unveiled two e2Ws – the SES Tuff and SES Hobby.

The Tuff, which falls under the high speed category, is targeted towards the B2B segment and comes with a maximum loading capacity of 150 kg and a top speed of 60 kmph. This e2W features dual 60 V, 30 Ah lithium detachable batteries that claims to offer a range of 150 km on a single charge.

The Hobby, meanwhile, comes with a 60 V and 30 Ah detachable battery, a claimed range of 100 km and a top speed of 25 kmph.

With the new products, the current product portfolio of the company has expanded to six e2Ws, including five low speed and one high speed scooter.

Market-wise, the company plans to expand its presence across Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Karnataka and Gujarat in the next six months. At present it operates with a network of 75 dealers across 13 states.

By the end of this financial year, SHEMA intends to launch two to three new high speed products in the market, and have 100+ dealers pan India. Yogesh Kumar Lath, Founder & COO, SHEMA Electric said the company will continue to innovate and advance its products, while expanding outreach on the other side.
