SEG Automotive has introduced an advanced range of e-mobility solutions tailored for the Indian market. The unveiling highlights the company’s strategic transformation from a traditional hardware manufacturer to a leading provider of sustainable mechatronic systems. With a focus on both high-voltage solutions and light electric mobility (LEM), SEG Automotive aims to cater to the growing demand for electrification across two-, three-, and four-wheeled vehicles.

The company’s high-voltage solutions include a versatile platform supporting applications up to 800 volts and 300 kilowatts, suitable for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Customers can opt for individual components such as stators and rotors or integrated systems, offering flexibility to address varying market needs. Additionally, SEG Automotive’s light electric mobility solutions focus on the two- and three-wheeler segment, positioning the company as a critical player in India’s electrification journey.

Ferdinando Sorrentino, Global CEO, SEG Automotive, stated “Our extensive product portfolio is designed to drive the global transition to electrification. By adopting an ‘outside-in’ market approach, we aim to deliver tailor-made solutions for diverse regional markets through global synergies”.

Anil Kumar MR, Managing Director, SEG India, highlighted the company’s dual commitment to innovation in both internal combustion engines (ICE) and electrification. “While our ICE innovations have secured us market leadership, we aim to replicate this success in our electrification portfolio. SEG India is evolving as a global competence centre for light electric mobility while simultaneously developing high-voltage system solutions ranging from 30 kW to 250 kW,” he noted.

The new offerings include:

High-Efficiency Alternator: Designed to optimise energy consumption in hybrid and electric vehicles.

Drive Control Unit: Enhancing system performance and integration.

48V Electric Drive System: Targeting efficient mobility for LEM applications.

3-in-1 Electric Drive Unit: Combining motor, inverter, and control unit for seamless operations for passenger vehicle segment.

SEG Automotive’s plans also extend to providing in-house software solutions for vehicle platform design, simulation, and end-to-end system development. This approach aims to position the company as a one-stop solution provider for startups and established original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India and globally.
