Scania Commercial Vehicles has announced a strategic partnership with PPS Motors, designating them as the exclusive representative for Scania's mining tippers in India. This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive Pan India coverage for sales and service operations, marking a significant move in Scania's commitment to expanding its network in India and delivering advanced customer support.
Scania focuses on providing tailored solutions for the mining sector. The company emphasises detecting, analysing, and optimising critical points within mines to enhance availability, productivity, and customer profitability.
Johan P Schlyter, Managing Director of Scania Commercial Vehicles India, expressed optimism about the impactful alliance with PPS Motors. He stated, 'Through the recent signing of an agreement with PPS Motors, we've laid the foundation for an impactful alliance focused on our mining tippers segment in India. By leveraging our cutting-edge technology, we are optimistic about making a substantial contribution to India's efforts in reaching its Net Zero Emission goal.'
PPS Motors has strategically established six regional warehouses across India, strategically connected to Scania's central warehouse in Nagpur. This hub-and-spoke model ensures proximity to mining sites and a robust supply chain for parts, enhancing efficiency. Additionally, PPS Motors boasts three state-of-the-art workshops meeting Scania's global mining standards, staffed by skilled technicians. Nine mobile service vans are also deployed for efficient handling of major repairs, aggregate repairs, accident repairs, and overhauling.
Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Motors, expressed delight at the partnership, stating, 'We are happy to partner with Scania as their exclusive distributor for their mining trucks business in India. The response and the trust that the customers have shown in Scania's products and services have been overwhelming.'
Scania's global expertise in electric mobility, renewable fuels, autonomous solutions, safety systems, and connectivity is now being implemented in India. The company aims to deliver advanced vehicles and services that support businesses in optimising their operations and efficiency in the rapidly evolving landscape of sustainable transport solutions.
