Scania India has announced the appointment of Silvio Munhoz as its new Managing Director, effective September 1, 2024. He succeeds Johan P Schlyter, bringing with him decades of experience in the automotive industry.
Munhoz’s career includes key roles such as Managing Director of Codema and interim President and CEO of Scania Brazil. His appointment signals a new phase for Scania India, as the company continues to focus on delivering advanced transport solutions and strengthening its sustainability efforts in the region.
Expressing his thoughts on the new role, Munhoz stated, 'My focus will be on reaffirming Scania's commitment to the Indian market while promoting sustainable and innovative transport solutions.'
Under Munhoz's leadership, Scania India aims to continue providing comprehensive solutions to the transport and energy industries, including premium products and services.
