SBI Introduces Innovative Solutions mobility outlook

The State Bank of India (SBI) has unveiled a series of innovative offerings aimed at enhancing the daily commute for Indians. These new solutions are designed to simplify payment processes, enhance convenience, and contribute to the broader goal of digital financial inclusion in India. The key offerings include the MTS RuPay NCMC prepaid card, the OneView mobile application, and an advanced design for the SBI FASTag.

One of the introductions is the MTS RuPay NCMC prepaid card, branded as the Nation First MTS Card. This card provides offline payment solution for various NCMC-enabled transit projects across the country, including metro rails, buses, ferries, tolls, and parking facilities. By allowing offline transactions, the MTS RuPay NCMC card ensures that commuters can make payments effortlessly, even in areas with limited internet connectivity.

In addition to the MTS card, SBI has launched the OneView Mobile Application. This app serves as a platform for managing SBI’s NCMC prepaid cards. It enables customers to top-up, track, and manage their cards from a single interface, eliminating the need for physical visits to metro or bus counters for card management. The OneView app is designed to provide users with a convenient and efficient way to handle their transit payments, streamlining the process and enhancing overall customer experience.

SBI has also introduced an advanced design for its FASTag in the Vehicle Class (VC-04) category. The new design is intended to improve vehicle identification and toll collection efficiency, ultimately reducing travel time for commuters across the country. The upgraded FASTag technology is a key component of SBI’s efforts to enhance the ease and speed of toll payments, contributing to smoother and faster journeys for millions of road users.

SBI’s Chairman, Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, mentioned that the introduction of these digital payment solutions highlights the bank’s leadership in the field and its dedication to improving public transportation in India. The innovative services are expected to bring significant benefits to commuters, offering greater convenience, security, and efficiency in managing their travel expenses.
