Rolls-Royce Spectre, the much-anticipated fully electric masterpiece, made its debut in North India on 19 January, setting the stage for a new era in the luxury automotive landscape. Priced from INR 7.5 crore (ex-showroom), the ultra-luxury electric super coupé is on a regional tour, offering clients and media a glimpse into Rolls-Royce's electric future.
Spectre, the herald of Rolls-Royce's electrification era, represents a fulfilled promise and a remarkable journey for the iconic marque. As part of its commitment to an electric future, Rolls-Royce aims to have its entire product portfolio fully electric by the end of 2030.
The historic connection between Rolls-Royce and electric technologies dates back to 1900 when co-founder Charles Rolls envisioned an electric future for motor cars. Fast forward to 2023, and Spectre, the world's first ultra-luxury electric super coupé, embodies this vision. The journey towards electrification includes milestones such as the 2011 fully electric Experimental Phantom concept (102EX) and the bold design study 103EX, paving the way for an electric future for the marque.
Yadur Kapur, Dealer Principal, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars New Delhi, highlighted the perfect timing of Spectre's arrival to cater to the needs of a growing, young, and entrepreneurial customer base, aligning with the continued demand for luxury in India. Spectre's contemporary design, bespoke interior, engineering excellence, and innovation make it a quintessential Rolls-Royce.
Rolls-Royce's historic commitment to electric technology was solidified in 2021 with the announcement of Spectre, marking a pivotal moment in the brand's history. Since then, Spectre has undergone rigorous testing, covering an impressive 2.5 million kilometers. Unveiled last October in West Sussex, England, Spectre has received overwhelmingly positive responses worldwide.
