Revolt Motors is set to transform the motorcycle market with the introduction of its innovative electric motorcycle, the Revolt RV1. The RV1 and its premium variant, the RV1+, mark a significant leap in bringing electric motorcycling to a broader audience. Priced at an introductory INR 84,990 (ex-showroom) for the RV1 and INR 99,990 (ex-showroom) for the RV1+, these models make electric motorcycles more accessible.
The RV1 boasts a 250 kg payload capacity, significantly exceeding the 150 kg average found in other commuter motorcycles. This feature, combined with broader tyres for enhanced grip and stability, makes the RV1 suitable for various riding conditions, from city streets to longer journeys. Its power comes from a mid-motor paired with a chain drive system, ensuring seamless acceleration and smooth performance.
It includes dual disc brakes, multiple speed modes cater to various riding preferences and introduction of a reverse mode to simplify manoeuvring in tight parking spaces. The RV1 also features a 6-inch digital LCD display, providing real-time ride data and error codes to keep riders informed and connected. Its stylish LED headlights and taillights not only enhance the motorcycle’s aesthetics but also improve visibility on the road. Both variants come with built-in charger storage and feature fast-charging technology, allowing the RV1+ to be fully charged in 1.5 hours.
Regarding range, the RV1 offers two battery options: a 2.2 kWh battery with a 100 km range and a 3.24 kWh battery extending the range to 160 km, making it ideal for both short commutes and longer journeys. Both battery options are IP67-rated, providing water resistance and ensuring reliable performance in varying weather conditions. It boasts the longest seat in its category, with a frame suitable for multiple passengers, making it an excellent choice for families and daily commuters. Its advanced suspension system guarantees a smooth ride, even on rough terrains, blending practicality with performance for the modern rider.
Alongside the RV1 launch, Revolt Motors has also announced upgrades to its flagship model, the RV400. The RV400 now comes with enhanced features aimed at improving performance, convenience, and safety. A new fast charger reduces charging time to 90 minutes, and the addition of reverse mode simplifies parking in confined spaces. The enhanced digital display, improved seat height, and Bluetooth connectivity for music enhance the overall riding experience. Safety has been further improved with the inclusion of a built-in leg guard and centre stand.
The RV400 now offers an extended range of 160 km and is available in a new colour, Lunar Green. With the integration of a new CAN-based communication system, the RV400 becomes a more intelligent motorcycle, solidifying its position as a market leader in the electric motorcycle segment.
