Revfin has launched an ambitious initiative titled ‘Jagriti Yatra Abhiyaan’ in Uttar Pradesh. This campaign, inaugurated on June 26, 2024, at The Taj in Lucknow, seeks to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across the state, promoting climate preservation, financial independence, and social empowerment.
The ‘Jagriti Yatra Abhiyaan’ follows the success of Revfin's previous campaign, #RevfinBharatYatra, and is part of the larger 'Zimmedari Ki Sawaari' initiative. This new campaign aligns with Uttar Pradesh's goal of achieving 100% electric vehicle usage in government departments by 2030. It aims to create a robust sustainable mobility ecosystem, fostering an environment where EVs can thrive and contribute to a greener future.
Sameer Aggarwal, Founder & CEO of Revfin, stated 'Uttar Pradesh is a flagship state for Revfin, significantly contributing to our business. Revfin aims to disburse loans totalling INR 3,000 crore across various cities in Uttar Pradesh by capturing a 20% market share by 2027. With our Jagriti Yatra Abhiyaan, we seek to raise awareness and promote EV adoption throughout the state. Our primary goal is to revolutionise sustainable mobility, presenting electric vehicles as 'Zimmedari Ki Sawaari,' not only reducing carbon emissions but also fostering social and financial empowerment.'
Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront of EV adoption in India, implementing a comprehensive strategy that focuses on accelerating EV adoption, building an ecosystem with infrastructure support, and fostering manufacturing. Over the next two months, various marketing and customer campaigns will be run in these cities to raise awareness and position EVs as a viable option for both last-mile and mid-mile transportation needs.
Revfin is making significant contributions to the development of the EV ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh by empowering women and expanding its reach. Women constitute 23% of Revfin's customers in the state, many of whom have achieved financial independence by using e-rickshaws for commercial purposes. With a presence in 240 cities and towns, Revfin has impacted 60 lakh lives, supported by 400 points of sale and partnerships with 30 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This extensive network underscores Revfin's commitment to fostering financial inclusion and sustainable mobility across Uttar Pradesh.
