The French automaker Renault India, on Wednesday, launched the Kiger MY22 at a starting price of INR 5.84 lakh, ex-showroom, India.
For the new vehicle, the company has introduced the 1.0L Turbo petrol unit with both the MT & X-Tronic CVT transmissions options with the RXT(O) variant. Besides, the SUV also gets the option for the 1.0L Energy Engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission or an EASY-R five-speed AMT transmission.
The new model will also feature a new tailgate chrome insert, front skid plate, turbo door decals along with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with red wheel caps.
While the interior of the vehicle now comes with a red fade dashboard accent and quilted emboss seat upholstery with contrasting red stitching.
Other changes to the new model include a wireless smartphone charge and cruise control functions and a new colour option including metal mustard with a mystery black roof.
On the safety front, the variant gets four airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, impact sensing door unlock, speed-sensing door lock, 60/40 split rear row seat with adjustable headrests and ISOFIX anchorage for the child seat.
Recently the SUV was awarded a 4-Star Safety Rating for Adult occupant safety by Global NCAP.
Launched back in 2021, the SUV is manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant and is exported to international markets, including South Africa, Nepal and Indonesia.
