Chennai-based electric vehicle startup Raptee.HV has launched India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle, the T30. This motorcycle utilises charging from electric car stations, making compatible with the 13,500 CCS2 car charging stations already installed across the country. The number of these stations is expected to double within the next year.
The eco-friendly nature of the vehicle combined with its competitive pricing is expected to attract environmentally conscious consumers looking for an affordable entry point into electric mobility. Raptee.HV boasts a range, with an IDC estimate, of around 200 km on a single charge and a real-world range of over 150 km. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in under 3.5 seconds and a IP67-rated battery pack ensuring higher safety standards. Raptee.HV is offering a battery warranty of 8 years or up to 80,000 kilometres providing long-term value and peace of mind for buyers.
The motorcycle also comes equipped with advanced software and a custom-built operating system based on an automotive-grade Linux platform, offering a highly responsive user experience. The HV tech and electronics have been developed in-house, further showcasing Raptee.HV’s commitment to innovation. The motorcycle will be available in four colours: Horizon Red, Arctic White, Mercury Grey, and Eclipse Black.
Raptee.HV plans to start deliveries in Chennai and Bangalore from January 2025, with a gradual expansion into other key cities where demand for mid-premium motorcycles is expected to grow. The company is also launching a unique factory-integrated experience centre called the 'Tech Store.HV' at its Chennai headquarters, allowing customers to tour the factory and see how the motorcycles are built. Raptee.HV aims to provide a seamless customer experience through a combination of direct-to-consumer offerings and traditional brick-and-mortar stores.
