Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a global leader in wireless technology innovation, has partnered with MapmyIndia, India’s premier advanced digital mapping and deep-tech company, in a strategic collaboration to support the ‘Make in India’ initiative for the automotive sector. This partnership combines Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ solutions with MapmyIndia’s expertise, aiming to revolutionise connectivity in the automotive space. The collaboration will deliver next-generation connectivity solutions and services for the four-wheeler (4W) and two-wheeler (2W) segments, both for domestic and international markets.
Under the terms of the partnership, MapmyIndia will leverage Qualcomm’s Snapdragon® Auto Connectivity Platform to develop telematics solutions specifically designed for Indian automakers. These solutions will cater to mid-tier and low-tier vehicles, enabling affordable yet high-quality connectivity features. The focus will be on improving vehicle and road safety while enhancing convenience, making advanced automotive services accessible to a broader range of consumers.
The integration of Snapdragon® Car-to-Cloud Services with MapmyIndia’s MAPPLS automotive services will help build a software-defined vehicle ecosystem. This framework will enable seamless device and cloud service management across 2W, 4W, and commercial vehicles, utilising Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions. Through this integrated platform, MapmyIndia will provide the necessary tools, applications, and application programming interfaces (APIs) to personalise and enhance the overall user experience, creating intuitive interactions tailored to individual user preferences.
