Propel Industries has achieved a significant milestone with the Homologation certification of its 470 HEV heavy-duty electric tipper. The certification confirms that the vehicle meets the government’s safety and roadworthiness standards and is a major step forward in the evolution of electric mobility in the mining and construction sectors.

The 470 HEV electric tipper was initially designed for off-road applications, but with the recent certification it is now fully compliant with both off-road and on-road requirements. V Senthil Kumar, Managing Director of Propel Industries, noted that this certification marks a turning point for eco-friendly transport in India’s mining and construction industries, as the 470 HEV provides a sustainable solution that meets the growing need for environmentally responsible heavy-duty equipment.

The vehicle offers fast charging capabilities and regenerative braking making it ideal for high-demand tasks in tough environments. Its compact turning radius and superior manoeuvrability ensure that it can handle both on-road and off-road conditions with ease. In addition, the tipper’s liquid-cooled motor, clutch-less AMT transmission, and noise-free cabin provide enhanced operator comfort and durability, making it a versatile and high-performance machine.

Designed with environmental responsibility in mind, the 470 HEV operates with zero emissions and reduced noise levels. The vehicle also features asbestos-free brake liners, adding to its eco-friendly design.
