Porsche is gearing up to introduce an innovative and intuitive interior concept for the upcoming Panamera, marking a significant step towards enhancing the driving experience. This new control concept, known as the 'Porsche Driver Experience,' places the driver at the centre of the action, expertly balancing analogue and digital elements for an unparalleled sense of control and luxury.
The Porsche Driver Experience was initially introduced in the Taycan and is set to make its debut in the Panamera's latest model generation. This driver-centric concept features a fully digital display, offering a wide range of customization options and an intuitively designed interface. This intuitive design allows the driver to effortlessly access essential functions, ensuring smooth operation in all driving scenarios, including dynamic driving.
Several details emphasize the focus on the driver's axis. Porsche has placed the toggle switch for navigating through instrument cluster options, the mode switch for selecting driving programs, and the gear selector lever directly on the steering wheel. This clever arrangement creates space on the centre console for an elegant climate control panel, blending touch surfaces and physical switches into a user-friendly, sophisticated solution.
The centre console features brand-new, finless, electrically adjustable air vents, allowing seamless switching between pre-configured and personalized climate control modes at the press of a button. Additionally, the centre console's storage bin offers increased space for convenience.
The digital, free-standing instrument cluster with a 12.6-inch display emphasizes the driver's axis and provides a clear, customizable layout for driving information. The optional head-up display can be effortlessly operated directly from the sports steering wheel.
