Short on the heels of unveiling the 2024 Carrera range on a global scale, German marque Porsche has opened bookings of the model in India from today (30 May). The company has brought in the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera 4 GTS priced at Rs. 1.98 crore and Rs. 2.75 crore (all prices, ex-showroom), respectively.
The brand’s first hybrid arrives in tow with the mid-life facelift of the 911, currently in its seventh generation. Known as the T-Hybrid, the petrol-hybrid combination features a 3.6-litre, six-cylinder engine paired with a motor mounted on the car’s gearbox. The petrol mill develops 485bhp and 570Nm of torque, while the electric motor that is mated with a battery pack develops 54bhp and 150Nm. The 100kmph mark now comes up from a standstill in just three seconds, while it tops out at 312kmph.
On the design front, the new 911 Carrera gets active air ducts on either side of the front bumper which also houses a radar alongside a set of sensors. The latter has resulted in the turn indicators now moving up to the main LED headlamp cluster. Elsewhere, it features a tweaked rear diffuser, redesigned spoiler, and OLED taillights.
Changes to the interior of the electrified Porsche 911 Carrera are limited. The analogue tachometer makes way for a digital piece, and a wireless charging pad is now present in the centre console. Porsche India expects to commence deliveries of the new 911 Carrera range towards the end of the year.
