The new dashcams are part of Pioneer’s Mobility AI portfolio and feature AI Night Vision, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) alerts, and enhanced parking monitoring. These features are designed to provide round-the-clock protection for vehicles, whether on the move or parked.
These dash cameras are designed to record high-quality, wide-angle footage of both the road ahead and behind the vehicle, providing crucial evidence in the event of an accident or impact. They also help protect against insurance fraud and monitor driving behaviour through post-analysis of recorded footage. Additionally, they offer the added benefit of capturing memorable moments during drives.
The dashcams can be accessed and controlled via Pioneer's mobile app, which allows users to connect over WiFi, browse and watch recorded videos, and adjust settings. This user-friendly interface ensures that managing and utilising the dashcams is straightforward and convenient.
Siva Subramanian, CEO of Pioneer’s Mobility AI & Connectivity Division, stated 'This is the first of many innovations from our Advanced R&D centre in India, aimed at meeting the specific needs of the Indian market.'
Aniket Kulkarni, Managing Director of Pioneer India, also highlighted the role of Pioneer's R&D team in collaborating with both Indian and global automotive manufacturers to develop advanced mobility solutions. The company’s new dashcam portfolio is expected to capture a significant share of the growing dashboard camera market in India, which is projected to expand at a rate of 15-16% from 2024 to 2030.
