The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) orchestrated the ceremonial flag-off of the 'JK Tyre Presents PHDCCI EV Car Rally 2.0'. This event heralds the commencement of the first-ever interstate Electric Vehicle (EV) rally in India, mapping a route from Delhi to Jaipur.

Dr Ranjeet Mehta, Executive Director of PHDCCI, underlined the rally's significance as a milestone in India's journey toward sustainable transportation. By connecting the capital with the culturally rich city of Jaipur, the rally exemplifies the practicality and efficiency of EVs in long-distance travel. Dr Mehta also highlighted PHDCCI's commitment to advocating for favorable EV policies, emphasizing the need for incentives, enhanced charging infrastructure, and robust R&D support to catalyse the transition to electric mobility.

Industry Enthusiasm & Support

The event garnered enthusiastic participation from key industry players, reflecting a collective commitment to nurturing the EV ecosystem. Sanjay Sharma from JK Tyre & Industries Limited expressed pride in supporting a venture that not only promotes green transportation but also contributes to the grassroots development of motorsports in India.

Vikram Jeet Bhayana of Bajaj Allianz voiced his excitement about the rally's potential to bolster confidence in EVs and spur infrastructural growth necessary for their widespread adoption. Similarly, Awadhesh Kumar Jha of GLIDA and Aditya Loomba from ECO Mobility underscored the rally's dual focus on promoting tourism and sustainability, encouraging travellers to explore India's beauty while adhering to eco-friendly practices.

The rally was backed by an array of sponsors, including JK Tyre & Industries Limited as the title sponsor and Mahindra XUV 400 co-powering the event, demonstrating a robust industry collaboration. Additional support from GLIDA, Bajaj Allianz, and other partners signifies a shared vision for a cleaner, greener future.
