Bajaj has started selling its CNG bike – the Freedom 125 in multiple cities. At the time of launch, the Freedom was sold only in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The company has started taking bookings from dealers based in 77 cities, however, the list of cities wasn’t revealed. Bajaj claims that the bike has received an overwhelming response as more than 30,000 inquiries were made for this bike. But such numbers aren’t really big for a motorcycle from the 125cc segment.
The Freedom comes with a 2kg CNG tank that offers a claimed range of 102km/kg. With a two-litre fuel tank capacity and a claimed mileage of 65kmpl, the bike could do over 300km in full range. Powering the Bajaj Freedom 125 is an all-new 125cc, air-cooled motor producing 9.3bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
This Bajaj is equipped with decent features like a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and a combined braking system. The motorcycle gets a linked mono-shock at the back and telescopic forks up front. The bike is sold in three variants and is priced between Rs. 95,000 (ex-showroom) to Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
