Ola Electric has announced an extension of its discounts scheme on its entire product range. Initially, there were discounts upto Rs 25,000 on the Ola S1 range till the end of February. The Bengaluru based manufacturer, however, has now decided to extend this offer till the end of March 2024.
Under the discount scheme, the Ola S1 X+ that was priced at Rs 1.10 lakh is now available at Rs 84,999. The S1 Air, the mid-spec Ola electric scooter, gets a price cut of Rs 15,000 and will set you back by Rs 1.05 lakh. The top-spec Ola S1 Pro receives a price cut of Rs 17,500 and that brings its ex-showroom cost to Rs 1.30 lakh. Barring these changes, Ola hasn’t tweaked the looks or the features of the above mentioned scooters.
The discount scheme seems to have worked in favour of Ola as the company posted its highest ever monthly registrations in the month of February 2024. They clocked 35,000 registrations in this period and consolidated their market share to 42 percent.
In fact, the company has had a pretty solid run in December and January, registering close to 30,000 units in each of the aforementioned months. That takes the tally to approximately 1,00,000 units over the last three months.
Besides the discounts, offering an eight years/ 80,000km battery warranty also seems to have helped in pulling customers to Ola as this takes care of one of the bigger concerns about owning an electric vehicle.
