NueGo has received dual recognition from the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records for its historic Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari (E-K2K) electric bus expedition. Covering 4,039 km across 200 cities and towns, the E-K2K journey set the record for the maximum distance travelled by an electric bus in a single expedition.
Along the route, NueGo’s electric bus engaged communities through activities such as tree planting, student workshops, and street plays, spreading awareness about eco-friendly travel and the role of electric vehicles in reducing emissions. The journey saved approximately 3,900 kilograms of CO2 emissions and included the planting of over 500 trees in key cities like Delhi, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kanyakumari.
Devndra Chawla, MD and CEO of GreenCell Mobility, stated “Beyond achieving a technological milestone, the expedition promoted green mobility and engaged communities nationwide, embodying our vision for sustainable transit solutions.”
NueGo’s record-breaking journey aligns with India’s push for greener transportation alternatives and highlights the feasibility of electric buses in diverse terrains, from 3,500 feet above sea level to coastal areas. With a focus on community engagement, the expedition also celebrated India’s cultural diversity through workshops, skits, and other activities.
