Nissan Motor India has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing 1.1 million units in exports since the inception of its export operations. This achievement underscores Nissan’s commitment to its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ philosophy, reflecting the global demand for vehicles manufactured in India.
The company is preparing for the launch of a new global SUV in India, staying agile to meet evolving customer preferences both domestically and in export markets.
The historic milestone was reached on 29th June 2024 at the Ennore Kamarajar Port in Tamil Nadu, with the Nissan Magnite being the 1.1 millionth unit exported. The Magnite has played a pivotal role in Nissan’s export success.
In June 2024, Nissan Motor India reported cumulative wholesale figures of 10,284 units, marking a Year-on-Year (YoY) growth of 76.3% and a Month-on-Month (MoM) growth of 65.7%. Export wholesale accounted for 8,177 units, demonstrating YoY growth of 149% and MoM growth of 104%. Meanwhile, domestic wholesale recorded 2,107 units for the same period.
The Nissan Magnite, launched in December 2020, has captivated consumers worldwide, with over 140,000 units sold domestically and internationally.
As part of its growth strategy, Nissan Motor India has been expanding its network footprint across the country. Recent additions in Srinagar, Salem, Delhi, and Durgapur have increased Nissan’s network to 272 touchpoints, enhancing sales and service experiences nationwide. The company plans to continue expanding its network in the coming fiscal year.
In recent years, Nissan Motor India has focused on exports to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
