Nissan is working on an updated product portfolio for the Indian market. After starting its innings with the launch of the new X-Trail three-row SUV, the carmaker now has its eyes set on the next product debut soon.
Nissan will introduce a mid-life update (facelift) for the Magnite in the country on 4 October. This will be one of the most important refreshes for the brand's lineup, which will be followed by two C-SUVs in 2025. The latter will be Nissan’s derivatives of the new Duster and its three-row iteration.
The facelifted avatar of the Nissan Magnite will mark the first major update for the sub-four-metre SUV since its introduction back in 2020. Based on spy shots from earlier this year, it is expected to receive tweaked front and rear bumpers, new grille, and a revised front skid plate.
Under the hood, the 2024 Magnite will soldier on with the same 1.0-litre petrol engine. This motor, available in turbocharged and naturally aspirated versions, will send power to the wheels via five-speed manual, CVT, and AMT gearboxes. It will compete against the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Renault Kiger, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
