The National Institution for Quality and Reliability (NIQR) has appointed Raj Srinivasan as its first-ever Chief Executive Officer & Mentor in 35 years.
The organisation has also announced that K Manikandan, VP, Ashok Leyland, has been elected as the National President of NIQR, said a press statement from NIQR.
Srinivasan Raj had led the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) Southern Region for over 15 years as the Regional Director. Subsequently, he also headed the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) for over six years as its Regional Director for southern India.
With his knowledge, experience, skills and passion for promoting industry and trade, NIQR is confident that he will play a pivotal role in taking this organisation globally. As a part of his role, he would be exploring possibilities of collaborating with counterpart organisations globally for a win-win situation.
Manikandan is an automotive industry veteran with over 28 years with Ashok Leyland in various functions, starting as a GET and moving up the ranks. He has a complete understanding of electric vehicle architecture and led the entire development of electric buses at Ashok Leyland. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and JUSE trained TQM professional who has assisted two plants to receive the prestigious Deming Prize.
