The new BMW G 310 RR is available in two variants, starting at INR 2.85 lakh, ex-showroom, India for the base G 310 RR and INR 2.99 lakh for G 310 RR Style Sport.
Available in Black Storm Metallic paintwork as the standard colour option, the bike can be secured in other paint options as well, including Light White Uni, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing Red Uni.
Inheriting DNA from the BMW S 1000 RR, the new product features full-LED headlights, large transparent visor and pure-black handlebars at the front along with gold upside-down fork and aluminium swing-arm.
The side profile of the G 310 RR features full fairing and RR branding/ graphics along with tank-hugging seating position and a pulled-up short rear.
The BMW G 310 RR comes with multifunctional 5” TFT display providing information including riding statistics, riding modes, maximum speed, deceleration and temperature, among others. It also gets handlebars with infotainment control switch.
Underpinning tubular steel frame in grid structure with bolt-on rear frame, the front of the two-wheeler sports a solid upside-down fork, while at the rear there is an aluminium swinging arm in conjunction with a directly mounted spring strut.
Powering the bike is a water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke 313-cc engine with electronic fuel injection mated to a six-speed gearbox, producing 25 kW at 9,700 rpm and maximum torque of 27.3 NM at 7,700 rpm. The company claims that the G 310 RR can reach 60 kmph from a standstill in 2.6 seconds.
The BMW G 310 RR also gets four riding modes as standard, including Track, Urban, Rain and Sport along with ride-by-wire system, e-gas passes and electromotive throttle controller that allows for automatic idle speed increases.
The braking of the vehicle is handled by 2-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and gets Michelin Pilot Street radial tyres as standard.
Locally produced at the TVS Motor Company’s Hosur plant, the BMW G 310 RR gets three years, unlimited kilometres warranty as standard.
