National Engineering Industries (NEI), part of the CK Birla Group and maker of the NBC brand of bearings, has announced the launch of its global technology centre Würzburg, Germany, through its subsidiary NBC Global.
Lokesh Agrawal, Vice President and Head of R&D, NEI, said this centre would focus on application engineering, product development, and manufacturing technology in the automobile and industrial space. “We have put together a team of talented engineers who will be innovating products,” he added.
The centre will support NEI’s global and Europe-based OEM customers as well as act as an extended arm for NBC Bearings in India. It was launched on the sidelines of IAA Transportation 2022 at Hanover.
Rohit Saboo, President and CEO, NEI, said, 'To have this centre located in Germany gives NBC Bearings a strategic advantage of collaborating directly with our global customers and offering products tailored to their needs.”
