Mobility Solutions Limited (MSL), a part of JCBL Group, has announced the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Batauli, Punjab, strengthening its capabilities in advanced composites solutions across railways, automotive, defense, aerospace, and infrastructure. The 41,700-square-meter facility, with a covered area of 12,000 square meters, marks a major step forward in innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
Originally focused on Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) manufacturing, MSL has evolved into a leading supplier of composite solutions for metro projects, railways, and global clients like Alstom and Wabtec. With commercial production at the upgraded plant beginning in December 2024 and plans to reach full operational capacity by July 2025, the expansion reflects MSL’s commitment to meeting growing domestic and international demand.
The strategic location of Batauli, near JCBL Group’s other manufacturing hubs, ensures access to skilled labor and efficient transport networks, enabling seamless supply chain operations. Currently employing over 150 personnel, the facility plans to expand with new product lines, boosting local economic development.
Key Objectives of the Expanded Facility:
- Diversify product offerings in railways, automotive, defense, aerospace, and infrastructure.
- Establish a Centre of Excellence integrating R&D, tooling, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing.
- Triple production capacity to meet rising market demand.
- Enhance sustainability with lightweight, durable, and low-maintenance composite solutions.
MSL has also integrated green initiatives into the facility, including renewable energy systems, water conservation techniques, and a waste reduction program. A solar energy system is currently under development, reinforcing MSL’s commitment to environmental responsibility and aligning with global sustainability efforts.
Speaking on the expansion, R.G.
