Montra Electric, the EV arm of the esteemed 125-year-old Murugappa Group, will unveil its latest innovations: an e-SCV (Electric Small Commercial Vehicle) and the Electric 3W Super Cargo, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Engineered at the state-of-the-art Ponneri plant in Chennai, the vehicle is the culmination of rigorous research, market analysis, and customer feedback. Designed for better performance and durability, the e-SCV is set to address market gaps and become the preferred choice for businesses and operators seeking sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

In addition, the company will also launch Montra Electric 3W Super Cargo vehicle, designed for fleet operators and individual load carriers. Built with customer-centric insights, the Super Cargo ensures better performance specifications and substantial operational cost savings. Montra’s earlier offering, the Super Auto, has already gained traction, with over 8,000 vehicles on the road and 85 showrooms established nationwide within its debut year. Montra Electric’s RHINO, the true electric heavy truck trailer will also be displayed.

Supported by the Murugappa Group’s INR 779 billion turnover, Montra Electric has organised its business into four segments: Last Mile Mobility, Small Commercial, Heavy Commercial, and Electric Tractors. With a vision to revolutionise urban mobility, the company is committed to delivering sustainable transportation solutions that balance environmental responsibility with customer profitability.
