Leading tyre company Michelin today announced the launch of 295/ 80R22.5 X MULTI Z2, the latest addition to its range of commercial vehicle tyres in India.

Packed with innovative technologies, this ‘Made in India all-position tyre fitment meant for regional and highway bus operations offers improved safety and mileage.

According to the tyremaker, the self-regenerating tread design reduces wear rate to prolong tread life up to 30%.

The reinforced tread plies to flatten the contact patch, eventually ensure uneven wear. It also helps in reducing the risk of sudden pressure loss for better vehicle control.

In addition, the reinforced bead owing to Duracoil technology enhances bead endurance for the benefit of multiple retreading.

The self -regenerating tread design helps the vehicle to have better vehicle control in all driving conditions.

The strengthened bead ensures repetitive long-distance high-speed usage, the company said.

The tyres feature the 3PMSF symbol, which indicates better grip performance in all weather conditions. Even when a part is worn, with just 2mm of remaining tread depth, the tyres benefit from 3PMSF certification.

Besides, the tyres can be regrooved and retreaded, thereby contributing to sustainability. Extended tyre life in line with circular-economy thinking allows truck operators to reduce their running costs and their environmental footprint while still benefiting from the maximum potential of their tyres.

Gaganjot Singh, President, Michelin Africa, India and the Middle East Region, said adopting this new tyre will help bus fleet owners increase productivity and improve their business’s total cost of ownership. The new offer from the company will stir the bus tyre markets across India with its high performance and value to fleet customers, he added.
