MG ZS EV Crosses 4,000 Units Sales Mark Within Two Years

The SAIC owned carmaker, MG Motors, reported that the ZS EV has surpassed the 4,000 sales mark since its launch two years ago. With this, the company holds a 27% market share in the segment, claimed the company.

According to the press release, the company has recorded a YoY growth of 145% with the product in 2021 compared to 2020 and averaged 700 bookings per month.

Offered in two variants, Excite and Exclusive, with a starting price of INR 21.49 lakh, the car comes with a 44.5 kWh battery and churns out 143 PS power and 350 Nm torque. The company says it can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.

On the features side, it boasts of a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, PM 2.5 filter, among other prominent features.

ZS EV customers will also have access to a 5-way charging ecosystem, including a free AC fast-charger at their homes/offices, a portable in-car charging cable, DC superfast charging stations at dealerships, a 24x7 charge-on-the-go facility (in 5 cities), and charging stations in satellite cities and tourist hubs.
