MG Motor India has signed an agreement with WTiCabs India for 100 vehicles for its Rent-a-car division, including Hector and the ZS EV.
The formal agreement signing ceremony was marked today with the delivery of the first fleet in the presence of Rakesh Sidana, Senior Director, Sales, MG Motor India and Ashok Vashist, CEO, WTiCabs, at Dwarka, New Delhi.
Sidana noted that it will further make MG vehicles more accessible to SUV and EV enthusiasts in India.
Vashist noted that the company aims to keep adding EVs to its fleet. “Our endeavour is to provide sustainable and robust mobility solutions to our corporate clients,” he said.
The Hector, which recently saw a facelift, now features an Argyle-inspired diamond mesh grille upfront with some chrome bits added to the bumper, while the rear sees the addition of a light strip. It also gets ADAS Level 2 features, including lane keep assist, lane departure prevention/warning, blind spot detection, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
The ZS EV features a 50.3Kwh battery with IP69K certification, giving it a claimed range of 461 kms on a single charge. The company claimed that the vehicle produces 176 PS with the updated motor, allowing a 0-100kmph time of 8.5 seconds.
