As part of its initiative to foster sportsmanship and skill development, MG Motor India has decided to extends support to women's hockey coach, Pratima Barwa.
The 44-year-old coaches young girls in Simdega, Jharkhand. MG will be providing essential resources and equipment which will support the budding hockey talent from the state.

Pratima, who represented Bihar in Hockey, started her journey in 2008. She faced a sudden halt in her career due to a ligament tear injury. The resilient young girl from Khunti, Jharkhand, did not let the setback deter her dreams. After completing her degree, she started working as a coach in Simdega. Here, apart from polishing including Olympian Salima Tete and national star Sangita Kumari, Pratima has also helped over half a dozen women hockey players from the state to participate in national camps.
