MG Motor India has announced the concluded MG Developer Programme and Grant Season 4.0 with the announcement of the final winners. These include Evolog, Centaur Automotive, Evnnovator Technology, Amplify Cleantech Solutions, Profformance Technologies and Danox Apps.
A press release from MG Motor India said MGDP 4.0 had students, innovators, inventors, startups and tech companies as participants. Of the 250 entries received, 88 entries were shortlisted. The top 14 teams were then further shortlisted to advance on to the virtual jury rounds held on May 17 and 18.
The programme saw participation from four charging infrastructure startups, two EV OEM startups, and eight software-as-a-service (SaaS) providers.
Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “MGDP S4 aims to foster knowledge sharing between the participants and thinktanks, bring their ideas to life and promote India as a hub of innovation and technology.”
He added that the fourth season also saw greater gender diversity with over 30% of the participating teams having at least one female founder.
Aastha Grover, Head, Startup India, said such engagement programmes provided the right platform to budding entrepreneurs and startups to showcase their innovation and provide a fresh take on problem solving.
With the ever increasing focus on sustainability and clean energy, e-vehicles play a pivotal role in shaping this sector. Startups have been forerunners as the future leaders of disruptive technologies to solve environmental problems, she added.
The MG Developer Programme and Grant 4.0 was launched in collaboration with leading organisations to support the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. MG Motor joined forces with key industry bodies such as Invest India and Startup India as well as leading technology players like Jio-BP, Exicom, Fortum, CESL, Attero, MapmyIndia, and Bosch, to foster an enabling ecosystem.
