Mercedes-Benz India has announced that it has witnessed a 28% YoY rise in sales in the January-September 2022 period, delivering 11,469 new cars.
Interestingly, the cumulative sales for the first nine months of the calendar year in higher than what the luxury carmaker sold in CY21.
A press release from Mercedes-Benz credited this growth to a young product portfolio, resurgent customer sentiment scaling up businesses and the ongoing festive period.
Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India stated that the ‘Made in India EQS’ is receiving an overwhelming response from customers, and has already got more than 300 confirmed bookings. Sales, Schwenk noted, are at the pre-pandemic level.
“We also have a robust order bank across all models and our focus remains to deliver these cars to our customers on time,” the CEO said.
