Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the avant-garde Mercedes-AMG GT6 concept car at the NMACC in Mumbai. This visionary super sports concept car, named Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo, exemplifies extreme proportions, sensuous contours, and intelligently integrated high-tech features, embodying a visually striking combination of design and performance.
This marks the third conceptual masterpiece from Mercedes-Benz showcased in India, following the Vision Maybach 6 and the Concept EQG. Lance Bennett, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz India, emphasised the brand's dedication to blending 'sensual design and future technologies' to create vehicles that evoke emotions through their styling.
Bennett remarked, “The Cultural Centre, with its exclusive and modern ambiance, is the perfect place to showcase this top-end futuristic concept car in India. We are glad to witness the ecstatic response and intrigue our concept cars are creating from our customers and enthusiasts.”
The Mercedes-AMG GT6 features a design characterised by a long bonnet transitioning into a compact greenhouse, displaying an aerodynamically efficient water drop shape at the rear. The dynamic aura is accentuated by a dramatic side contour and pronounced bulges to the wheel arches, contributing to the car's low-slung and muscular body shell.
A distinctive feature is the radiator grille, a reinterpretation of the wide Mercedes-Benz sports car grille with a central star. Unlike classic louvers, the grille incorporates exclusively LEDs, creating various light patterns. This innovative design is an evolution of the diamond grille introduced with the new A-Class.
