Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has achieved a historic production milestone by rolling out 2 million vehicles in a single calendar year. This makes Maruti Suzuki the first and only passenger vehicle manufacturer in India to attain this feat. Additionally, it is the first facility within Suzuki Motor Corporation’s global network to cross this production benchmark.

The landmark 2 millionth vehicle, an Ertiga, rolled off the assembly line at Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana. Of the total vehicles produced nearly 60% were manufactured in Haryana while the remaining 40% came from the Gujarat plant. The most produced models during the year were the Baleno, Fronx, Ertiga, WagonR, and Brezza, underlining the brand’s stronghold across various segments of the market.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated “This achievement reflects our commitment, alongside our supplier and dealer partners, to driving economic growth, supporting nation-building, and making India’s automobile industry self-reliant and globally competitive. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our customers, employees, and value chain partners for their continued support and for being an integral part of this historic journey.”
