Maruti Suzuki India on Friday inaugurated its 3,500th retail outlet in Hyderabad. With the new Nexa showroom, the company is currently present across 2,250 cities.
A press release from the company stated that Maruti Suzuki added 237 sales outlets in FY22 while the network expansion continues to see a big spurt with the addition of 170 outlets between April to October of the current fiscal year.
The company undertakes new car sales through three formats: Maruti Suzuki Arena, Nexa and Commercial.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Our multi-channel sales network helps us address demand across segments and strengthen the trust customers have in our brand.”
He continued that with the current statistics of only 3% of Indians owning a car, the situation presents a huge opportunity for growth.
“I want to give ‘Joy of Mobility’ to as many people as possible, where they are empowered with the freedom to travel, connect and bond with others. The expansion of our sales network is a step in the direction to realise this vision,” Takeuchi added.
