Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced a new industry milestone as Fronx achieves 2 lakh sales within just 17.3 months of its launch. The Fronx was introduced in April 2023 and has quickly captured the market with its design, features, and a variety of powertrain options.
The notable growth of Fronx can be attributed to its appeal among customers in major cities, with NCR, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Bengaluru emerging as the top markets. The compact SUV has found favour not only with first-time buyers but also with those upgrading within the segment, thanks to its blend of style, technology, and driving performance.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, noted that the vehicle’s 16% year-on-year growth in FY25 demonstrates Maruti Suzuki’s ability to anticipate and cater to the evolving demands of today’s SUV buyers. The popularity of the turbocharged engine variant with paddle shifters, in particular, has attracted customers seeking a more dynamic and spirited driving experience.
Fronx’s popularity extends across both Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, embodying the company’s tagline, “Thrill has a New Shape.” Its bold exterior design, sharp character lines, and feature-rich interior have made it a standout in the compact SUV segment. Inside, customers enjoy a premium experience with features like a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, head-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and Suzuki Connect.
