Maruti Suzuki India Limited has reached a remarkable milestone with its popular compact sedan, the Dzire, crossing the cumulative production mark of 3 million units. The Dzire previously reached the 1 million milestone in April 2015 and doubled it to 2 million units by June 2019. It now joins Maruti Suzuki’s elite club of models—Alto, Swift, and WagonR—that have surpassed the 3 million production milestone.

Over its four generations, the Dzire has continually evolved to meet consumer demands. The latest iteration, launched in November 2024, boasts a progressive design, plush two-tone interiors, and a suite of segment-first features, raising the bar for compact sedans.

On the global stage, the Dzire has strengthened Maruti Suzuki’s presence with exports beginning in October 2008. To date, approximately 260,000 units have been shipped to 48 countries, with key markets including Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In FY 2023-24, it was the second-highest exported model by Maruti Suzuki.

Commenting on the milestone, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “The latest Dzire sets a new benchmark with its modern design, advanced features, and exceptional fuel efficiency. This milestone underscores Dzire’s significant contribution to our sales and our leadership in the sedan segment for 16 consecutive years.”
