Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has completed one year of its state-of-the-art ‘Cath Lab’ at Zydus Sitapur Hospital. This advanced cardiac care facility, established as part of MSIL's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, provides 24x7 access to high-quality cardiac care to residents of nearly 400 villages across 12 talukas in Gujarat, including Becharaji, Mandal, Mehsana, Patan, and Viramgam.
Equipped with cutting-edge medical infrastructure and staffed by expert healthcare professionals, Zydus Sitapur Hospital offers a range of advanced clinical facilities, including General Medicine, Orthopedics, Trauma Care, Gynaecology, Urology, Nephrology, and Dialysis. The addition of the Cath Lab has significantly enhanced the hospital's capability to address complex cardiac issues, providing life-saving services to a region previously underserved in terms of advanced medical care.
Rahul Bharti, Executive Officer - Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, mentioned 'Built with the motivation to make tertiary healthcare accessible to the community around our plant, the company has invested overall INR 160 crore towards setting up Zydus Sitapur, a multi-specialty 110-bedded hospital. It is an interesting example of how a corporate can make a positive intervention in a hitherto uninhabited place and make it a congenial place for the community and employees. Zydus Sitapur Hospital, launched in 2021, stands as the region’s first multi-specialty hospital. Funded by Maruti Suzuki under its CSR initiatives and managed by the Ramanbhai Foundation, an arm of the Zydus Group, the hospital has dramatically improved healthcare access for more than 15 lakh people from nearby villages.
